I'd love to hear some feedback on Dead Weight from those who have been buying the chapters weekly. What do you think? Let's move our discussions over to the blog page so they will be combined.

Hey, kids! It feels great to get back into my writing after a brief hiatus. I'm starting a new humorous mystery series--with my Polish background and wacky family influences!

I love discussions! So, feel free to leave me a note and I'll definitely write back. Talk about whatever you like, including my books!

From Lori: Thanks for the info on Gennita. I may be finishing book #7 and having it published as an e-book for a start. Also, I am starting a new humorous mystery series that will have equally fab characters! Stay tuned for info.

Gennita Low published the novel herself as a e-book using Samhain Publishing. Maybe you could look at something like that. I bought it and seeing the demand you have here it may work for you.

I love your books! I dont know if you remember, but a few years ago you sent me an atographed cover of Nip, Tuck, Dead! i still have it in perfect condition :) thanks again!! I finally got to read Dead on Arrival and it was great!! i love Pauline and Jagger! I just read Shear Magic and I was just curious why you called Sugar a gelding. I understood Sugar to be a mare, but you kept referring to her as a gelding. To my knowledge, a gelding is a castrated male. Just curious :)

I want Pauline back!!!! This series is what turned me into an avid reader! It was your characters and fast-paced, funny storylines that made me love to read and seek out similar series. Please come back!

When will you have a new Pauline Sokol mystery out?

MY fingers are crossed i love love love Pauline and Jagger. i really hope a publisher picks it up soon!!! i really cant wait to read the next part i want to know what happens next with the series

I and all my friends who are Pauline & Jagger fans are really hoping you can continue the series with a new publisher, let us know when it will happen.

Lori- I love your books! I really, really wanna see more Pauline and Jagger books. Good Luck! As a Nurse I find them extremely funny and a good read.

08/02/09 Thanks for the interest in my work. Right now, the publishing industry is extremely SLOW as in anything else nowadays. No word on any takers for Pauline and Jagger. I do miss them so! I'll post any updates with dates on them, but the summer months are also slow in publishing. Most major publishers always close on Fridays in the summer.

So, keep your fingers crossed and if anyone knows an editor or publisher--hook Pauline and Jagger up!

Lor

Lori - I REALLY enjoy the Pauline Sokol books. Since your comments on this page are not dated, I can't tell how long ago you made the comment that it's looking good that a new publisher will take over. I'm hoping this will be accomplished soon. Would you mind giving an update? Thanks!

My favorite book is Nip Tuck Dead. I ran out after work on the day it was released and read it that night. It's a great book that I have read more than once. I do hope that there will be more Pauline Sokol books in the near future.

From Lori: I'd be thrilled to have my Pauline Sokol mystery books on audio, but that is a decision only the publisher makes.

Love Pauline and Jagger. They are my all time favorite books. I hope there will be more.

There are more after Deep Sea Dead and they are available now. There is Nip Tuck Dead and Dead on Arrival. You can read the excerpts on the "My works" page. Just click above.

Lori

Hi, i just wanted to say that i love the pauline sokol mysteries. are you working on the next one, or is deep sea dead the last one? i hope there is more!!

Are you ever going to put the Pauline novels on audio book?

I LOVE the Pauline Sokol Mystery series. I wish there were more.

Unfortunately the publisher, Avon, closed their mystery line so there are no Pauline's on the horizon--yet. My agent is still trying to get another publisher interested in continuing the series. I miss Pauline, Jagger and Goldie! Right now, it is looking good that a new publisher will take over. Keep your fingers crossed! It was NOT my decision.

Will you come out with another Pauline Sokol book anytime soon?

My agent is still working on selling the series to a new publisher.

Deep Sea Dead
Blurb: Sailing over the bounty seas is not the ideal case for ex-RN Pauline Sokol who has never been out of New England. But when her sleazy boss, Fabio Scarpello, offers her the chance to work a case on The Golden Dolphin--sailing through the Bermuda Triangle is the least of her problems. Murder, mayhem and a missing nurse take center stage while Pauline is trapped on the ship, her roommate murdered, and Pauline’s name is next on the list.
The Pauline Sokol Mystery Series Book #5
Nip Tuck Dead
For her latest case, Pauline Sokol is assigned to investigate plastic surgery fraud in swanky Newport, Rhode Island. To get inside the exclusive “spa”, she must go undercover as a private duty nurse. Now all she needs is a suitable well-heeled patient. Luckily, her best friend and colorful co-worker Goldie fits the bill (and the high heels), and he selflessly volunteers for a nose job. Once she’s infiltrated this surgical playground for the rich and spoiled, Pauline discovers that someone in the practice is scamming the insurance companies. More than a few of these jet setters have become addicted to plastic surgery and many of the women’s husbands have refused to pay for any more elective “changes.” So someone is making up diagnoses so the (inflated) costs are covered without anyone being the wiser. A “nose job” has now become a “repair of a deviated septum for better breathing.” But a simple case of semantics soon turns deadly when a male secretary’s body is found floating fifty feet below the jagged ocean cliff. As she struggles to keep herself out of danger, Pauline can’t believe her non-altered eyes when the enigmatic Jagger shows up to at the B&B where she’s staying. But even her hunky cohort can’t keep her safe when a simple case of going under the knife is anything but cut and dried.
